Myanmar army seized power this morning in a coup against the democratically elected government.
The Military have detained several government leaders in response to the alleged fraud in recent general election. State owned broadcasting media (MRTV) was suspended for today. In a video address broadcasted on military-owned television, it said the VP U Myint Swe, former General, has become the acting President. It also mentioned that power has been handed over to the military chief Min Aung Hlaing. The state of emergency is imposed for one year. Mobile networks are unstable and shut down in some area since morning.
